As many of you probably know, President Kennedy visited Gettysburg in March of 1963 although he had been invited to attend the 100th anniversary of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address in November of that year. He elected to come in March because he already had a previous November commitment to go to Dallas. Below is one of the many photographs taken of him that day in March of 1963 in which he is seen driving his open convertible on the battlefield. The President and Mrs. Kennedy are both looking back at one of the battlefield attractions which I will leave to you to figure out what they are looking at. Actually, it is pretty easy to figure out especially with the attached now view.
I was pointing out that the President appears to be leading the tour, thus LBG-Licensed Battlefield Guide.
