Thank you all. :)

Well now, I have loved each and every work you have posted. On this one my friend you have out done yourself. This looks to be post war. Any idea of the year? Thank you very much for sharing.
I thought you might like this! I haven't the foggiest, I stumbled upon it some months back and saved it for the sake of doing it sometime in the future - I have no idea when it was taken, but I agree, it definitely looks postwar.

Thank you all.

Very nice, I'll PM you and inquire about purchasing a print. Thanks

It appears to be a colorized version of one of those taken in New Orleans after the Wilderness.

Wow, excellent work, thanks for sharing... love it!! This recent thread contained some research on the first photo above...

Perhaps a "Next Project" for Zuzah would be to colorize this companion photo (please ) which looks like may have been taken at the same time as the one above...

I'd say there is no question about it. Do you have any information on the date take or the occasion?

Not sure about the specific year but the 1865-70 may make sense, given the New Orleans backmark...

I believe the inscription is to Mrs. Stephen Dill Lee. Her husband commanded artillery for Longstreet at one point in the war. I think after the war the Lee's lived in Mississippi. But since Longstreet lived in New Orleans after the war (and since it was controlled by the Yanks for a good part of the war), seems reasonable to think this would have been taken during his post-war time there in New Orleans.
