Is this a colorization candidate?

That's a terrific picture, and I think it would look great in color. I am trying to find where the original came from. I looked at the Library of Congress and found this alternate version that is larger, but not as clean as the one from the negative. I also found this that indicates his name was Gilbert J. Marbury. Don't know if that is correct, but the LOC does list the image as belonging to the 22nd NY.

Gilbert J. Marbury enrolled on May 28, 1862, in the 22nd. New York, State Militia, company H., he was 17 years old. His service was for 3. Months. The 22nd., was called into service on May 28, 1862. This regiment was under the command of Colonel James Monroe. Company H., was under the command of Captain Richard S. Grant.​
 
Its a great looking uniform with all the piping, which I assume is either red or yellow. I knew it had to be a New England early war unit.
