Is there a book

Are you looking for a book about ghost stories about the Civil War told today, or stories told back then? Sorry for not understanding. I'm sure the others will be able to help you right off.

>>> Maybe Y'all are thing of this Book that I just got.<<<
"Phantom Army Of The Civil War" "And other Sounthern Ghost Storys"
BY Frank Spaety

Allen, Mark Nesbit has at least four books out on the Ghosts of Gettysburg...I also have Battlefield Ghosts by B. Keith Toney, Blue&Gray Magazine's Guide to Haunted Places of the Civil War, Civil War Ghosts put out by August House Publishers...I have a few others, but they are loaned out right now and I can't remember the names of them...
I think a couple of these include the story of the Deason House in Ellisville, MS which belonged to my ggfather's first wife's family...I have visited there...It was a little creepy, but no ghosts appeared....+=0)

I have purchased two of his books, Ghosts of Pennsylvania which includes 9 Gettysburg stories and Civil War Hauntings and beyond which includes 11 Gettysburg stories. My view is that alot of the stories could be explained away and some are just plain spooky. I enjoy reading them though.

My ex girlfriend was heavily into ghost hunts and the like. She had piles of books on most haunted places. The only Civil War haunting I found, was the story of a headless Confederate who wanders the fields of Chickamauga.

Might I suggest a book by Michael Sanders? He's a local author in my area. His publications include "Strange Tales of the Civil War" and "More Strange Tales of the Civil War." I've met him once or twice. He's a real nice guy, though he has quite a lisp!

The best book I have ever read on Civil War Haunts was Ghosts of Gettysburg. This isn't a book, but there have been two episodes of Ghost Hunters based off the Civil War. One was the Cashtown Inn, which is in a town on the outskirts of Gettysburg. The other is a war prison in Ohio used during the Civil War.
