Oliver Fletcher enlisted as a corporal, but somehow got busted down to private. He went missing on June 22, 1864, probably during the siege of Petersburg, and was never seen again.

,Residence Lemonweir WI; Enlisted on 5/10/1861 as a Corporal into "K" Co. WI 6th Infantry. He was Missing on 6/22/1864, (Missing while on secret expedition). per Roster of Wisconsin Volunteers: War of the Rebellion.

Two men are shown being captured on the same day :

John H. Beoman, Residence Madison WI; On 5/18/1861 he mustered into "C" Co. WI 6th Infantry, * POW 6/22/1864, Petersburg, Virginia, He died (date not stated) at Andersonville, GA.

Edward P. Brooks,
On 7/11/1861 he mustered into "F" Co. WI 6th Infantry, Qtr Master Serg 6/20/1861, 2nd Lieut 7/16/1862, 1st Lieut 9/13/1862, Adjutant 4/1/1863, POW 6/22/1864 Petersburg, VA (Confined at Macon, GA & Columbia, SC)
He was Mustered Out on 1/7/1865.
(Signed Petition Complaining of conditions at Camp Sorghum, Columbia, SC).
