Hello everybody, most folks here I'm sure have heard of the Iron Brigade (the more famous one, the one of all [mid-]western regiments) that served in the Eastern Theatre of the war. Well if anyone wanted to see what its regimental commanders looked like here they are.
But first the brigade commander, Brig. Gen. Solomon Meredith.
Here's Col. Edgar O'Connor of the 2nd Wisconsin Infantry
Col. John Algor Kellogg of the 6th Wisconsin Infantry
Col. William Wallace Robinson of the 7th Wisconsin Infantry
Col. Samuel Williams of the 19th Indiana Infantry
And finally Col. Henry Morrow of the 24th Michigan Infantry
Now you know what were probably the most famous guys in what was probably the most famous brigade in the Army of the Potomac looked like.
