Inspector T

On this breech plug, either from M1861or M1863, there is a C for Condemned and an Inspector Stamp T. Would this breech plug have been stamped C for condemned by inspector T, or was it earlier condemned then approved by Inspector T? I ask because I have seen parts stamped with a C but have no other inspector stamps.

I believe the C would have been an inspector at assembly and T after machined

I should have been clearer. Correct that the C was a Condemn marking. Likely discovered at the point of assembling the parts.

So, in this case, T approved the part and then later another inspector condemned the part. Or is it the other way around?

That is the path I would think. Approved in manufacturing stage, but condemned when attempt to assemble. My guess anyway
