After a concert on Saturday night, we went to the Indiana War Memorial Museum in Indianapolis on Sunday morning.
The museum is centered on Indiana's own history such as Battle of Vincennes during the American Revolution, battles against Native Americans in the early years of the country and the War of 1812. It also focuses on Hoosiers' service and contributions in the various conflicts that did not necessarily take place in Indiana or even the United States such as the Mexican-American War, Spanish-American War and wars/conflicts of the 20th and 21st centuries.
There was a very nice Civil War section in the museum that featured a number of actual and reproduction artifacts. Their largest display was of various regimental colors. I've included a few photos below. I apologize for the glare in many of them. Just the way it was in that portion of the museum.
