If I ever get the chance I'd love to revisit this battlefield. The first time we stopped there it was a couple of weeks before the actual anniversary date of the battle but the corn was there. Whats the old saying "high as an elephants eye"?
This is consecrated ground and the fact there is a Texas monument there makes it that much more so to me. It usually means some Texas Boys did something Historic there.
Some pictures of the field with corn. Taken in the month of July, so the corn would be higher during the battle. Older low resolution pictures I took years ago. The first two were taken looking across the field from the East Woods.
