Taken last month at Antietam. View is looking west from the south end of the Corn Field. The Hagerstown Pike is just past the tree.

If I ever get the chance I'd love to revisit this battlefield. The first time we stopped there it was a couple of weeks before the actual anniversary date of the battle but the corn was there. Whats the old saying "high as an elephants eye"?
This is consecrated ground and the fact there is a Texas monument there makes it that much more so to me. It usually means some Texas Boys did something Historic there.
