Impossible Odds

The shattered remnants of a Confederate line attempt to hold back wave after wave of Union men advancing up the hill slope. Weary, unable to see even if his shots tell, the battle fades into a sort of never-ending nightmare for this sergeant.

Out of curiosity, what unit are those Zouaves in the back supposed to be? I take it Confederate Zouaves, but not sure of the regiment.
