I've been to a lot of forts and seen a lot of former locations of forts. Be it due to the environment, progress, or neglect some places are gone. If you had your druthers, even in your fantasies, which fort would you like to walk through that is no more?

Honestly I have two. One is Battery Wagner. Not just for the history but from the layout.

The other is back home in Florida. It was nicknamed 'Fort Mosquito'. It was located in New Smyrna Beach in what is now a park. A giant debris field now.

For me it's gotta be Fort Griffin. A great Texan battle!

In all of history, the extensive fortifications at the Siege of Alesia during the Gallic Wars would be those I'd have liked to see the most.

A few that haven't been mentioned.

Fort Ripley in Charleston Harbor
Fort Powell in Mobile Bay
Fort Powell got blown up during the war, IIRC, and the men retreated across the sandbars. It would be interesting to see the sand at the level it had been during the war.
