If the unit already exists...

I've been looking for a Confederate reenactment unit in NE Pennsylvania. Can't find one to save my life and I was thinking about starting a unit. I've been to reenactments so I (sort of) understand what it entails.

Thing is, and I'm not naming the unit, but there is already a company. Is it in bad form to have another unit? If so what about a different company?

I'm just interested before I even try this. Thoughts?

If it's a particular historical unit, there should not be an issue. If they have one, it's their problem, not your's.
For example there's two or three different organizations that portray Battery A of the 4th U.S. Artillery Regiment in two or three states. I think there's a few other units like that.
