Identification wanted?

In this CDV the period ink on the reverse, in cursive, identifies this man as Gilford, possibly Frank Gilford?? I cannot read the rest of it but perhaps the initials provide a clue? Does anyone know who this is or who he might possibly be? Thanks in advance...

I don't read the first name as Jonathan. I see Jno. An abbreviation for John. And I'm not sure of the middle initial.

Looking at the second line, his title, I'm seeing A.A.G. Vols or maybe A.A.Q. Vols.
Another clue as to his identity.

Based the the writing, the first letter of the last name would not be a G. I'm seeing Jno. G. Telford, AAG Vols. He served in the Department of Minnesota towards the end of the war.

(I'm sure of everything above except the last name "Gilford", but that is a good bet.)
