I have this question. Sometimes when I'm reading or studying a battle or politics from the Civil War era I'm thinking to myself who cares what good will come out of it. It's just a waste of time. Do other people who study history wonder what's the point. I know I love it and I enjoy doing it but is that all there is.. So if you wouldn't mind let me know why you do this thank you.
