I noticed that your bayonets are displayed on similar backings. Are you making these displays? They are simple yet effective. Good work.
Is there any way that you can tell me about the wood you have sourced for them? It seems possibly recycled and I didn't know if there was a story behind them or not.

Thank you for the looks yes I got them from a guy in PA or any local small saw mill operation near you. They are walnut 24" long by 4" wide and 3/4" thick with a key hole drilled out back high center for hanging on wall then I lay the objects on board mark with pencil drill points drill holes use annealed 16 gauge wire tie to firmly tight but not cranking tight to the board if you go too tight you risk damaging the relic and you break the wire tie at that point the boards cost me 10 bucks each rough cut and planed on one side but the inspiration came from early ways of displaying Gettysburg relics on relic boards few are large and from the rosensteel that have been sold off over the years if you ever find one they bring big money Erik door at GMOH has one on display in his museum.
