Ron Codington very graciously mentioned some research I sent him about Capt Henry Pointer, ADC to Forrest. I found his widows pension claim scanned in at the TSLA, and she had included several interesting documents. One was a touching letter from 1885 about finding things in and around a tent Pointer had occupied at Fort Donelson. The YouTube channel is called Life on the Civil War Research Trail.
