Year ago I found this book about Georgia Civil War uniforms published in 1989 by Maranatha Miniatures. The book is illustrated with back and white copies of what are very likely color plates. I would love to know where the original color plates are. Has anyone seen these Georgia uniform plates by Richard M. Harrison? Also if anyone else has this book what is your opinion of Thomas G. Rodgers as a uniform researcher?

For anyone interested the book has 28 Georgia uniforms illustrated plus 3 "Nancy Harts".

There were no actual color plates, IIRC. I don't think Rick ever got past the black and white drawings. He brought some of the originals to a meeting one month, but there was no color. They were done on just a regular sketch pad. This was a very low budget enterprise so.... Rick and Tom collaborated on a couple of CoMH color plates, the Floyd Cavalry and an Alabama grouping I believe. As for Tom Rodgers. Much of the info for this book was borrowed/skimmed/etc... from other researchers as was true for the 3 part series he did for the CoMH Journal.

The way the drawings in the book looked it appeared that they might have been black and white copies of color plates.

All in all it is a nice little book but much/most of the information I have in other sources.

Yep, and some of it is totally incorrect.
