Help With A Buckle Please

Thank you very much for taking the time to check this out. Recently purchased a 'Civil War' belt buckle at a reputable online auction. I got it because it looked a little unique. With some research, it looks like a 1820-1830 militia belt buckle but the few other examples that I found have more of a belt loop roll on the reverse with the spikes. Any ideas?? Authentic/Reproduction??

This is a reproduction plate, the circle P is the dead give away. I don't believe its a hanover brass made plate, but some other company that repops these. Your research is correct in that it should have a single hook with a roller as the one below.
