Help me rank these Generals from first to worst by performance. Sterling Price, Earl Van Dorn, Thomas C. Hindman, John G. Walker, M. Jeff Thompson, Edmund Kirby Smith, John Pemberton. I'll go first.

The top 3 I ranked are the only ones of the 7 to win battles as commanders Smith-Richmond KY, Price WC and Lex, VanDorn- holly springs....which would seem to be an important criteria to me. Thompson and Walker a little out of league in a comparison to officers with larger commands and responsibility, no disrespect to them.

Pemberton does whats expected and puts up credible defense at VB
Hindman drops ball at PR, his best service is as subordinate as the last two as well
