Hello from North Alabama

Have you been to the Crooked Creek Battleground and Civil War Museum in Winston or north Cullman County Alabama? I went yesterday, and its owner has amassed a wealth in War artifacts. He, having collected these artifacts for years, bought the property not knowing he was buying a battleground from General Streight's bloody raid through North Alabama in April/May 1865, after the peace agreement was signed and the war over.
 
Hello I'm from Northwest Alabama and just getting into Civil war relic hunting. I came across this forum today and decided to join hopefully to gain further knowledge and information.

It never occurred to me that Civil War relic hunting might be a fun and productive enterprise until I joined this site about two years ago.

From my location, I have easy access to countless Civil War camps and battle sites that are forgotten and/or neglected. A lot of it is pretty well picked over, I imagine, but still...
