Anyone out there know what happened to Haversack Depot? I know that late last year Phil posted a message on his website that he was moving and temporarilly suspending orders, but last night when I tried to get on the site all I got was some Japanese clothing ad. Has Phil gone out of business or is he just in winter quarters?

Last I heard was he had moved and was out of the business. His new home is not large enough to make things so he is closed up shop.

Looking for something specific? Got a list of folks I can send you too.

I was planning to get one of his shelter halves. Do know anyone else out there that is making the same quality? The end result will be to recreate the shelter half that is on display at the Atlanta History Center. It should start many visitor discussions in camp.

Talk to Joe Blunt at Carter and Jasper http://www.carterandjasper.com/

He can hook you up I am sure of it. If for some reason he cannot then let me know and I can drum up some other sources.

I got my shelter tent from Fall Creek Sutlery (http://www.fcsutler.com). Very good quality material! Holds up very well. First event we took it to, it rained for about half an hour. Then the son came out, and it was dry before the night fell upon us. Can't beat quality like that!

God bless!

Although it may be able to do the job. The Shelter Halves put out by FC are not accurate reproductions of ACW Shelter tents.
They are the wrong materials, wrong construction, and many times wrong dimensions.

Just putting that out there for people who run across this again.
