Camp Food Harvesting weed grass

Those are surprisingly big bulbs for wild garlic! I grow garlic and love to eat it when it's green. But I never bother with the stuff in my lawn. Too much work, too little return in my experience.
Is interesting. I didn't know the wild garlic that big.
Thrust with the trowel, twist and heave - too easy.

Maybe this was an Old Growth Clump?

If the milk animals graze on these, you'll find the milk has that garlicky tang. Not do good in milk, but I have seen cheese flavored with chives and so maybe that would be the use for these.
Ever try that larger cousin, the ramp? You'll find them described as wild leeks

We try hard to keep our garlic chives under control. They'd take over the entire garden if we let them.

Ramps are in season around home right now. Fortunately, we have a good source.
