Hi all,

Doing some research on a new purchase. Digging through the records and came across this hospital admit slip. Trying to read the diagnosis section and I can't make out the first word.

It says "[something] right arm". Thought it might be "infected" but I don't think that's right.

Thanks in advance! I do struggle with 19th century penmanship at times.

He's borne on regimental rolls as "absent wounded" in May

@CyleKostello anytime you have a question on old medical terms you can try consulting the list of medical terms posted at the top of the Medical Care forum. They have hundreds of entries on 19th century diseases using the terms common for them at the time:

Some times when I can make out some of the letters but not all I use this list to aid me.
