Although I know my small collection of antique 19th century handguns will pale in comparison to what some of you have, I photographed all my handguns together. It is a mixture of both originals and replicas. So far in 2022 I have added three new originals, a M1858 Starr double action revolver, a Kerr Patent revolver (with the J S and anchor), and a M1854 Lefaucheux Pin-Fire revolver 12 mm, the last two recently picked up at the Brandon, Mississippi Civil War Show. Also this year, I added a replica Colt Dragoon, unfortunately I can't yet afford an original.

I agree, it is one of my favorites. I know some called it the "ugly ducking," but I think it is very cool looking!
Yeah I got one too and it's the weirdest thing to cock the hammer. You had to have big hands to do it. Just strange they thought that up. But that's the gun industry. Come up with something different Folks will want to have even back then.
