These massive wheels of the Confederacy are about a mile and a half from my house. I thought they deserved a photograph and mention in this forum. One of many CW related items that Nashville has scattered about town. Hope everyone enjoys.

The sign looks upside down. You can edit the post, delete the upside down one, flip the photo and upload the correct one.
 
Thank you for the post, it is most interesting! Although, it is too bad they seem to have put more effort into creating the historic marker than into preserving these historic artifacts.

Yes..but at least they are there. It's probably the park service who does the upkeep but basically all they do is mow the grass around them. It would be a good project for a historical preservation group or an individual to keep these items cleaned periodically.
