The QM General's Letters Received Register has an entry for October 25, 1862 from Atlanta:

"Having bought 100 kegs nails from Mobile for gun boats I bought in Montgomery where there is abundance, they have been seized by Major Cashenn(?). Asks an order for their restoration."

Signed by F. W. Fisk

Can anyone relate this to a particular gunboat?
