With apologies to 18th Virginia who brought us a ' Godey's' thread earlier, came across one of their ads in an era newspaper, thought it could use a re-visit. Godey's was Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Good Parenting, People and Ladies Home Journal all at the same time. Relying heavily on fashion you could still feel like a good wife and mother and homemaker paging through it's bound editions- even come across an artist's conception of Royal princesses in frothy confections fit for well, princesses. Godey's was estrogen on crack.
