It is located near the corner of Baltimore St and South St. During the battle this was the scene of heavy action all 3 days. It was the Homan property and is next door to the Benner House. It is a short walk to the square and all the Baltimore St and Steinwehr St restaurants and businesses. The address is 337 Baltimore St if you want to take a look on Google earth. What year was the building constructed in? Just curious... I assume it dates from either the 1860s or 1870s based on architecture?

Research at the Adams County Historical Society shows it was built about 1896. A 1 story shoe shop was on the site during the battle.

AHHHH , Another shoe story related to Gettysburg . I am sure this shoe shop made a killing selling shoes to Johnny reb during the battle .
