The Spangler Farm. This would have been the view that Rebel troops would have seen while advancing under General Cadmus Wilcox on July 2 and similarly, under General James Kemper on July 3.

Great pics!!! I use the "Deep Woods Off" dry spray with 25% deet. I helps keep the ticks and chiggers off. Ticks can be found on you but you'll never spot a chigger. Best to take a hot soapy shower after walking through all that stuff. Chigger bites are awful.

Great pictures! And yes on the ticks for sure...I walked Pickett's Charge a few weeks ago and the ticks were a real problem. I pulled them off my clothes and found one trying to make a home behind my ear. A little while later I was outside at the beer garden area of the Appalachian Brewing company on Steinwehr, I felt something hit my arm and looked down and it was a tick, that had fallen from the little tree above me!
