Here's a presentation from the US Army War College that is highly engaging. This half hour talk really is in two parts:
Part 1: Getting inside Lee's head and his strategic outlook.
Part 2: Critical look at JEB Stuart's assignments of his subordinates.
This presenter seems to suggest that it wasn't Stuart's absence that hurt Lee's army as much as the way he managed the cavalry he left with Lee. Very interesting.

 
I enjoyed that a lot and learned a thing or three to boot as I didn't know about the irregulars vs regulars issue or about the personal rivalries noted.

I couldn't help but think there's a place for that guy in Baptist ministry if he tires of the military.
