Hello All,
I am trying to gather information on 2 relatives of mine who served with the 62nd Virginia Mounted Infantry. Sargent F. Marion Calhoun served with Company "C" and 1st Lt John C Calhoun served in Company "I". I know they were there at Gettysburg, but was wondering if that unit saw any action? 1st Lt John C Calhoun was KIA in Williamsport on July 6, 1863 retreating from Gettysburg with Lee's Army. He was killed by a shell fragment. ANy information would be greatly appreciated.....
