I scored a nice addition to the Gettysburg artillery shell collection. A 20lb Parrott shell with it's nose blown out from the Gettysburg battlefield. Provenance included states it is from the Military Order of the Loyal Legion Library and Museum in Philadelphia which later became the Civil War Library and Museum. Looks like it also impacted something . Union forces had six 20 pounders, the Confederates twelve.

Oh my. those are insane prices. I was thumbing through the catalog and it looks like some really great things. I know a couple of dealers here in Gettysburg picked up some items.

Great collection and nicely displayed. I keep telling myself I need a few artillery pieces for my collection!
You do NOT want to get hooked on the Iron Maiden as it will be a monkey you can't get off your back as there is NO such thing as a FEW, if you don't believe me just ask @redbob. Ive been blessed to dig most of mine.
