Visiting October 24-26, and when I called earlier this week to reserve a guide for those dates they told me they're booked.

Would I have a good chance of getting a guide by showing up to the visitor center early on Saturday? Not looking for anything highly specialized, just want to cover the Peach Orchard and Wheatfield.

I'm surprised that they are all booked so late in the season.

This is our second busy season. It is hard to find a guide this time of year. This will run until Remembrance Day weekend in November. Then we get to rest for the spring.

I am slammed until the end of the month. BUT give the Gettysburg Foundation a call. They may be able to help find a guide for those dates.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give them a call first thing tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the recommendation. The Gettysburg Foundation was able to reserve a guide for me for my preferred day, time, and topic!

That's awesome. Good information in this thread.

Doesn't appear to be. I'm staying at one of the NPS-owned farmhouses and that reservation has been confirmed by staff. The visitor center isn't owned or run by NPS so that's up and running as well.
Now I have to ask, how do you get to stay in a NPS owned farm house???!!!???
