Georgia Wade McClellan

We all know that this is Jennie (Ginnie) Wade's sister. Does anyone know when she left town after the battle to head to Denison, Iowa? If there is any record of her leaving town, or what train number/station she left from>

According to findagrave, they left Gettysburg in 1866, arriving at Denison in early 1867. No record on the exact dates, but I'd encourage reading the article -- it's pretty informative!

Okay, thank you for your response. I will have to keep looking since "Find a Grave" site was one of the first sites I looked at. I'm looking for the month Georgia and her family left on the train from Gettysburg, and possibly if it was recorded on when they arrived into Denison, since that's when John McClellan starting working out there.

https://www.civilwarprimer.com/page/44/ suggests that Georgia and her family moved from Mahaska, Iowa to Denison, Iowa in November, 1866.

History of Crawford County says that Georgia had lived in Iowa "since 1866," although other sources say that Georgia had lived "for one year" in Mahaska prior to moving to Denison.
