Thanks so much for the head's up, another General's wife to profile. I only have some bare-bones information to begin with but am hoping to flesh it out as information is ( hopefully ) uncovered.

" Born in Virginia on May 2, 1810, Martha Head married Sterling Price in Randolph County, Missouri, on May 14, 1833; they had seven children, of which five lived to adulthood. During the war she left Missouri and settled in Washington, Texas. In the spring of 1866, Martha joined her husband in Mexico, and returned with him to Missouri the following year. She died on March 5, 1871."

This is Martha and her husband, Sterling, and the Find A Grave link provided on the thread we have for these- just sometimes try to remember to put them in the little bios also for ease of use.

On RootsWeb site. I found list of their children.

They were:

Edwin Waller Price
Amanda Williamson Price who lived from Aug. 1837 to Nov. 1838.
Celsus Price
Heber Price who lived from Jan, 1844 to June 1868.
Martha Sterling Price
Quintus Price
Athel Price who lived Dec. 1856 to Nov. 1860.

Interesting, thank you! OH I hate seeing the babies and toddlers these people lost, which was SO frequent. Once in awhile, if there's a pattern- like a lot of family members lost during a certain time frame, I'll Google that year. It's often the case that an outbreak of some disease was making the rounds that year in that area- so sad, even all these years later, isn't it?
