"If the name Thomas Rosser is familiar, it's because you may travel on Rosser Avenue in Waynesboro. A "trace" is a beaten path or trail left by repeated passage of animals, people and light vehicles. During Colonial Times the road we now call Rosser Avenue began this way. As traffic advanced, it became known as Greenville Road, Stuarts Draft Road, Postal Route 12 and U.S. 340." (add)
