Trying to find the final resting place of Garrett B. Sanborn. May be an ancestor but unsure. Anyone have info to guide me in the right direction? Thanks.

I found an obituary which stated his body was taken to Summerville, New Jersey for interment. There is no Summerville that I could find but I'm assuming they meant Somerville as that's near where they lived. Unfortunately Garrett is not listed at FindaGrave or BillionGraves. The obituary for his widow says she was buried in Elkton, Maryland where they had lived but her name doesn't come up on FindaGrave either. Based on the dates of his death I'd guess he's buried at the new cemetery in Somerville. They have a website - maybe they could help.

In his obit does it mention any geneological info, ie; wife's name, any children, etc. What year did his wife die?
He was a Civil War Veteran, does it mention his service? What year did he die? Thanks.

Garrett was born about 1839, I could not get an exact date. His wife was named Mary, they had one child, a daughter named Jennie who married Joshua R. Witworth and lived in Elkton, Maryland. Garrett died 17 November 1908 in Elkton at his son in law's home. After the War he worked as a tinsmith in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Jennie and Joshua has one daughter, Carrie Sanborn Witworth, who married Alfred Victor Davis.
