I like the shot of the courthouse and monument. Nice composition.

This thread was the result of your question in one of your threads. Next thing I know, I have a brand new thread. I was going to start a new thread about the Battle of Front Royal on its anniversary date.

The north and south forks of the Shenandoah meet BEFORE Front Royal. Thus it is the main fork. I may be incorrect with exact location of the confluence. Sadly the Shenandoah has been polluted horribly over the years. 30 years ago there was a plant there that was producing a certain type of rayon used in the production of nosecones for anti-ballistic rockets, the plant was dumping highly toxic amounts of PCB's directly into the river. NOW the Shenandoah in Front Royal is so heavily laden with e-coli bacteria from agricultural fertilizer run-off (from chicken droppins) used all through the Valley. It's really sad.
