Friends and fellow forum members, lend me you ears (eyes)! Joey12thGA was recently banned from the forum. We need your help to get him unbanned! Joey12thGA is (was) a frequent forum-goer who often spread the light of FACT with a touch of humor. He combatted f.a.r.b,isms and the like to send the truth to the masses and to cheer us all up (except for those who got b.u.t.t,hurt.) To that we say UNBANN JOEY12THGA!!!

No offense, but I was not fond of his postings. Yes he did have good information at times, but was kind of nasty. I suggest he make amends with the site, rather than we do his work for him.

My motto is you got to start someplace. The so called f.a.r.b. for the most part is simply someone that is not informed or just new. Better to help the person that demean him. After all you want more progressives in the ranks right?

I'll leave you with this thought "he who shouts the loudest and longest F.A.R.B. most likely is"........

The ones that were'nt fond of his posts were those that were offended (feel free to make assumptions there). I was a **** once, so I know how easy it is to get out of that cycle, so to say that a f**b is someone who is "not informed or just new" is incorrect; a **** is someone who chooses to stay on the path they are on as opposed to improving. If someone is improving they will soon get to a point where they are no longer a f**b. I will agree with you that we need to help those who are new as opposed to bashing them down, and although Joey12thga did get onto a newb from time to time, it was the exception rather than the norm. I'll take your thought, and leave this one "the one that gets offended by the term f**b most likely is..."

I don't believe he was banned because of his F.A.R.B. comments. Rather, I believe he was banned because he expressed utter disrespect and ridicule for a man who had passed away suddenly and had only been buried the day before. His classless comments towards a man who could no longer defend himself was, quite frankly, despicable. To have insulted me, personally, was bad enough, hiding behind a keyboard, but to have done such a cowardly and classless thing to a recently deceased fellow-reenactor, and continuing even after being called out on it, was inexcusable.

He received his just punishment as it relates to a forum, and he ought to be quite grateful that he isn't getting just punishment from those who considered Mr. Rusty Bull their friend. So, I would recommend you not put yourself out for Joey12thga. Unless or until there is sincere and significant changes in this person, you are wasting your time and energy on someone who, at this point, least deserves it.

Being allowed back as a member of a forum is not the issue. Being allowed back as a civil and decent member of the human race, is!

John, I was one of those who was offended by "Joey's" posts. They were very unnecessarily inflammatory, rude, disrespectful, antagonistic, sarcastic, and taunting. If he wishes to be readmitted as a member of this forum he will need to petition the site owner and webmaster, Mike Kendra (civilwartalk), and explain his previous behavior/posts, apologize, and request reinstatement. Even then it's up to Mike to grant reinstatement, and that's not guaranteed at all. We (the moderators) do our best to keep things civil on this site. When someone declines to follow the forum guidelines and unleashes rude, offensive, inflammatory tirades at other members...it should be no surprise that he is soon gone.
