FREE Civil War Dance Classes

Free Civil War Dance Classes will be conducted by the Victorian Dance Ensemble, the performing troupe of the Civil War Dance Foundation, at the National Civil War Museum, 1 Lincoln Circle, Reservoir Park, Harrisburg, PA. The classes are 2:00-4:00PM Sundays, January 26, February 23, and March 15.

Attend one or all three classes. Partners are encouraged but not required. Families are welcome. Ideal for reenactors, teachers, historic site docents, and anyone interested in vintage dancing. A free Civil War Dance Manual is also available by emailing [email protected]. .

The classes are free but reservations are required because of limited space. To register, email [email protected] with name(s) of attendee(s) and date(s) you would like to attend.

These classes will also prepare you for the 17th Annual Civil War Preservation Ball held in the Rotunda of the Pennsylvania Capitol Building in Harrisburg, 7:00-10:00PM on Saturday, March 28. This ball has raised over $110,000 for preservation projects at Gettysburg National Military Park.
