A cold, dreary day in the Bluegrass. Was in the area, so I made a stop in the Frankfort Cemetery.
I was only able to spare a few minutes…..a shame, as there is a lot to see. It's not much, but I'll share what I stumbled across in my 40 minutes. Maybe I can add to this later on.

Robert Letcher. 15th governor of Kentucky

The real Sheltowee- Daniel Boone. Is ol' Dan'l really buried here?

Gen.Thompson Flournoy. Ky born Arkansas planter. Organized the 1st Arkansas Infantry- died shortly afterwards. Have no idea on the "General" title?

Boone's grave was vandalized during the war by Yankee soldiers.

I've never been to Frankfort. I should go this week or next. Don't know how that will work out but there's always later in the summer.
