Bumped into him once before, never read so much information on him, thanks very much for posting this! You read about how SO many were killed and maimed, incredible Frank came through. Yes, and white? You wonder what the ex-war horses were like, were the really ' bomb-proof' or were they a mess? Frank looks like you could allow a battalion of children to swarm him, he'd be happy.
 
Might have been more steel gray in a younger day--grays do go near white in advanced age, 26 is advanced considering.

I agree -- one handsome horse indeed.

Possibly the horse closest to actually depicting the classical dictionary definition of a "steed". Fine looking animal.
