Foxhole Friend

Easy. Martin Van Buren Bates of the 5th Kentucky Infantry (CS). Height 7'9" and weight 475lbs.

Because, ultimately….. it makes perfect sense to be a smaller target than the guy next to you. And if overrun- jump on his back and ride him to the rear.

His wife Anna was two inches taller than him and gave birth to the largest baby ever recorded. "The boy was born on January 18, 1879, and survived only 11 hours.[11]Named just 'Babe' he was said by his father to have had the appearance of a perfect 6 month old. He was the largest newborn ever recorded, at 22 pounds (10.0 kg) and 28 inches tall (ca. 72 cm); each of his feet was six inches (150 mm) long.[12] For this, he was posthumously awarded a Guinness World Record.[13]"
