Foto Friday 3/1

I am eager to go back again. The last time I was under difficult time constraints and was unable to see very much and take photos. I hope that will change this year. One of my ancestors was wounded during Picketts Charge, but made it home only to die from the wound.
Even with all the men who fought there i find it amazing when family stories have a common theme. I had an ancestor who survived the Wheatfield, was shot in the leg at Pickets Charge and died in October of infection at the Cotton Factory Hospital in Harrisburg.

I enjoy close-up images.

However, be careful to avoid potential wasp's nests when photographing cannon barrels during
Spring/Summer in the South.

:smoke:
Sometimes there can be other things inside them too (in addition of course to the usual aluminum cans & plastic bottles):

These are of 2 guns that are sisters to the ones at the Ohio State House. #183 was used in the 36 Gun National Salute for Lincolns funeral in Cleveland. #186 was used to defend Johnson's Island. Both Guns were used by the 8th Ohio Independent Battery, ONG.
