Fort Gaines

But I never went to the fort until a bridge was built in the 1960's. Most of the history of the war was seen in Ft. Morgan. Great photos!

Thinking the bridge might have been build a bit earlier. I left Mobile in '62 for the army. And remember making a number of fishing trips to Gaines at least several years before. When we lived in Fairhope, we did a lot of fishing and crabbing trips to Ft. Morgan, usually fishing off the old wooden pier and always right by the old sunken ship. And fished many a wkend there at Fairhope.
