Forty years ago, the National Park Service contracted O'Connor Engineering to build working replicas of the two locomotives that met at Promontory Point, Utah, to complete the first transcontinental railroad. The locomotives, the Central Pacific's Jupiter and the Union Pacific's No. 119, continue to operate at the park in the summer months.
