I'm sorry, but the fellow should have stopped cold before he got to the "flying human limbs" part. It's like laughing at a funeral -- you want to stop, but you just can't help it.

And, not to nitpick or anything, but there were no flying human limbs in Dante, not even in the eighth circle.

The article says, "The scene within the horrid pit became from one as the pen of Dante." It doesn't attribute "flying human limbs" to him, but I think we get the point.

Rosefiend, I admit that I snickered, too; not at the horrible carnage, but at the writer's turn of phrase. I involuntarily thought 'cloudy today, with a high chance of flying human limbs' and that was it.
