When I was in my teen yearsI tried to learn this games but it was very confusing for me and that another story.. never learned how play it! Thanks for sharing this.
 
I carry a cribbage board with me, and play friends whenever we reenact. I actually have several boards, each appropriate to the time period. It's a hard game, no doubt. We actually help each other score, and don't play that rule that says if you don't see a score, and the opponent sees it he gets it instead. Keep it friendly.
