Alright. I've set the goal and I'm going to be able to reach the east next June/July. I'm a first-time participant, but only because some kerfuffle in Iraq back in 2001 distracted me for the next 16 years. Besides some weapons demonstrations ranging from 16th-19th Centuries and classroom presentations for my friends who teach, I've not really taken to the field.
Anyway, participating in the Gettysburg event has long been a bucket-list item for me. I'm looking at the Daniel Lady 160th event as an individual. Federal kit.
I'm staying in a campground in Lynchburg, VA., for June when I leave Scarborough Renaissance Faire. Are there any other events in June I should look for?
Unfortunately I'm going to be making a bee line for Kenosha, WI., after July 4th for my next job at Bristol Renaissance Faire. I'll be pretty busy until September then. I wish I could linger and do more, but I'll get to visit a lot more of the eastern battlefields while I'm there.
