Marvellous well researched and well written article. I can't thank you enough for sharing it. Another side to Grant many may not be aware of with the normal focus on the military and political rather than the more personal.

I, too, have a great love of trees and hate to see one ever cut down. How wonderful that Grant had a similar connection to nature and a desire to promote its care.
